“There is no such thing as a free lunch”

Published by dglerom3041 at 4:38 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

The title speaks louder than its words. In our everyday lives we are charged for the littlest fees that dictate our financial budget. by using your atm card at a gas station or local drive thru service, you are charged a .50 cent fee for your “convenience.” What kind of a convenience is that? Starbucks gets to take a dollar from me everyday because I use my ATM card there? Come on! Like the company already has enough money they get from low salary workers and the profit from their coffees. Everything we do as customers gets billed. If you want to get a free credit report online you have to sign up for a survey of some sort that eventually costs you money somehow. Go Figure! At a time when our economy is at the lowest in decades, and everyone is trying to get the most for their money, people are getting ripped off. Credit card companies charge interest for late payments and they are making a fortune off of people who cant pay off their credit card right away. I had an open Macy’s card for ten years and now they are charging me fees to keep the account open. It is rediculous having pay for extra fees when you as a customer are buying their product. Overdraft fees are rediculous as well. Why don’t the banks just not let you over draft in the first place? Then you wouldn’t be getting charged for an item at the price of two! We as Americans are nickled and dimed for everythhing we do in our daily life. Is that fair or right? This is a capitalistic economy and the people in power dictate what the working class has to pay on certain items and what fees are going to be charged to us.
